wow fuck yeah the characters are amazing omg i mean i always love whacky motley crews it’s my favorite thing in the world i love seeing the various dynamics mesh and clash and every single prominent character in atlantis is fun and flirty and interesting and well rounded and i’m getting doki doki

anD AHH, YEAH„ THE WOMEN IN ATLANTIS ARE SO FANTASTIC they’re all independent and strong but in a way that’s very believable and true to their given background like fuck audrey is sassy as hell and she deserves to be, her dad wanted her to be him so she toughened the hell up and fucking works it and then kida is the weakest probably and she really… doesn’t even have much to do with the story honestly but she’s this token warrior woman tired from years of disappointment and struggle and like i love when the king says “1000 years ago you would have slain them on sight” it’s so COOL because you get a peek inside how much she’s let her guard down because of how badly she wants the outsiders to help her city thrive once more. and then helga is… god… perfect femme fatale did you know originally she was supposed to be in a secret affair with rourke who was, at the time, a german agent? they scrapped that because it was a little too intense and convoluted for a disney movie but gosh i love helga she’s the perfect embodiment of that type of character. aND THEN THERE’S PACKARD JESUS I LOVE HERE SO MUCH SHE’S JUST THIS CRASS OLD LADY WHO DOESN’T WANT TO BE THERE OMG omg i need to watch atlantis brb

it’s perfect :’) it’s my favorite movie in the whole wide world i’ve seen it probably upwards of 200 times now (don’t look at me) and i have the two disc edition with all the gorgeous concept art and swOON i love atlantis it really means a lot to me

the art is so gorgeous and it’s been a huge inspiration to me in terms of developing my own style because gosh it’s just fantastic it moves so perfectly and it adds so much character to everybody on screen x__x

there’s been a lot of talk in the past about how atlantis is a ripoff of nadia: the secret of the blue water and that’s a fair thing to accuse because they’re both heavily inspired by 20,000 leagues under the sea and nadia was made ten years previous but kirk wise, the director of atlantis, said he hadn’t known until nadia until after they had released atlantis and he only heard about it because of controversy and even if it is a ripoff i don’t give a shit because it’s still a perfect movie and i love it with all my heart

nah i mean it’s a fairly new development i’ve only really talked to the blog about it

i might tell my sister because she’s super smart and quick on the uptake and it’d be a good way for her to learn about alternative genders and she respects me enough that i think she’d be good about it

i’m not very interested in telling my parents because while i think they’d try to be thoughtful of it they’d never actually think of me as a guy so i’m gonna save myself from that annoyance. my mom notices that i dress like a dude sometimes and supports that interest and that’s all i’m going to ask from her

i’m lucky to have some of the most open-minded and respectful people for friends in the entire world, and if they think of me as oliver when i need to be thought of as oliver, that’s all i need to be happy with this situation
